Introduction

What's up rebels? Quick update on things going on with me. For those who care.

I hope you all enjoyed the hell out of your Thanksgiving! I know I did. 

I ate a shit ton and probably put on a couple pounds in fat during the process.

Whatever, it happens. I eat clean for most of the year so I can afford to pig out a little bit. 

I am currently at home with family in New Jersey (where I grew up). I return to Washington DC on Monday.

When I get back, I gotta go hard in the gym to work off all this this food.

I might as well go on a little mini cut heading into the holidays.

I began a cut back in December but I noticed after a few weeks on cycle, I began to feel very lethargic.

I began lacking energy and discipline to commit to my diet and exercise.

I got blood work done and noticed that testosterone had dipped significantly.

Way more then they usually do when I research ostarine. I can attribute this to the higher dosage I went with this time.

I went with a higher dosage (30 mg/day) because I noticed by strength dipping significantly in the gym. This means I was losing muscle.

I was not happy with that. So I upped the dosage of ostarine to preserve my strength. 

That was a mistake. Instead, I should have increased my calories (in carbs) but still stayed in caloric deficit to minimize this muscle depletion. 

Now I better. Anyway, I decided to end my cutting cycle prematurely and hop off cycle to let my testosterone levels recover.

How I Discovered Cardarine?

So during my post cycle therapy, I decided to add in cardarine (GW - 501516) to my PCT stack.

I did this because it is supposed aid in increasing HDL (good) cholesterol in the body. So I did this mainly for my heart.

However, I cycled cardarine with some of my other post cycle therapy supplements and noticed awesome physical benefits. 

I will talk more about that below. I used to hate on cardarine because I bought in the bogus cancer study. 

But now after trying it, I have made a complete 180 degree turn in the way I think about cardarine.

What Is Cardarine?

First of all, let's talk about what cardarine is not.

Cardarine is not a SARM. It is a PPAR agonist. This is very important to understand.

Cardarine is a research chemical that binds to the Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptors (PPAR) in microscopic cellular level.

This compound is used to enhance athletic performance by greatly increasing one's endurance.

It can also be stacked effectively with SARMs. It has no side effects.

It does not effect your hormonal levels at all. Therefore,  no post cycle therapy is needed. 

It was created by Glaxo Smith and Klien Pharmaceuticals in 1992. Its original purpose was increase in HDL (good) cholesterol and lower LDL cholesterol. 

Other goals were to combat obesity, Prevent type-2 diabetes, and improve cardiovascular health.

Why Is It Great For Bodybuilders?

Cardarine allows you partition nutrients much more efficiently. This allows for your body to get more out of your workouts. 

When cutting, you are depleting your body nutrients. This makes it extremely hard to get in quality lifting and cardio sessions. 

Cardarine allows you maintain your endurance and energy in the gym. On top of that, likely increase your intensity and workout for longer. 

Most bodybuilders use cardarine for fat loss. Because it increases glucose uptake in skeletal muscle, it allows the way body to trim down faster and easier.

It is also anti-catabolic. So you do not have to worry about breaking down muscle while on cardarine.

Be warned though, if you eat too much or like shit and do not train as much as you are supposed to; you will still gain fat while on Cardarine.

This is not a magic pill for fat loss. You will have to put in the work. It just maximizes your efforts and gets you to where you want to be slightly easier.

But the endurance gains are real. I can literally crank on the elliptical at a high level for over an hour without too much effort. 

I still sweat a lot and get my heart rate up but it is not nearly as tasking as it was before. 

8 weeks ago, I was struggling to do the elliptical for 30-40 minutes at a level or two lower without needing to take a rest.

You should expect the same in the this regard. Expect for endurance and energy to go way up and aided fat loss when cutting. 

Can Cardarine Be Used Bulking?

Absolutely. Cardarine is great bulking as well. This is because it allows you to get way more out of your workouts and recover faster due to better nutrient partitioning. 

In my experience too, you strength will go way up! I added 20 pounds to bench press and overhead press in about 6 weeks.

Cardarine is definitely a strength builder and can aid in building muscle mass. You just have to taper up your calories accordingly. 

Side Effects And Cancer Study

I have suffered no side effects from cardarine whatsoever. All other reports show that Cardarine is pretty much side effect free. 

There is that one study where they mega dosed rats and they ended up getting cancer. This is what scared me off from using cardarine earlier. 

However, after looking into the study myself, I realized the scientists were megadosing the rats. 

The rats were taking upward toward 10,000 mg/day of cardarine. That's 1000 times the recommended dosage. 

If you take 1000 times the recommended dosage of anything, then that will kill you. 

Im sure I would die if I took 1000 times the recommended dosage of tylenol or advil. 

So this study is kind of bullshit. I would not pay too much attention to it.

Because the scientists gave these rats to ridiculous dosage that is not translatable to humans. 

Do not worry, cardarine is safe to use under the proper dosage and cycling protocol. 

Dosage And Cycle Length

The proper research dosage to start seeing the desired effects are around 10 mg/day.

I suggest this is where you start for your first cycle of cardarine. Minimum first 1-2 weeks of your cycle.

See how you feel and what the effects are on your athletic performance.

The sweet spot for most athletes to maximize the effects of cardarine is around 20 mg/day.

Most research this drug in the morning upon waking up with food and/or 30 minutes before they start working out.

I prefer to split the dosage up. Take half in the morning and again in the late afternoon or before I workout.

However, I have heard of plenty of people research the entire dosage all at once. They still see all the desired effects.

You just have to decide what works best for you. The half life of cardarine is 24 hours so you will not suffer one way or the other.  

Athletes can cycle this research compound anywhere from 4-16 weeks. 

Cardarine Clinical Studies 

Clinical Study #1 - This study was done by Diabetologia Journal of Medicine. This study shows that cardarine decreases inflammation and helps prevent type-2 diabetes.

Clinical Study #2 - This study was done by International Journal of Cardiology. The conclusion was cardarine was shown to have relation in preventing heart attacks and harmful cardiovascular effects from saturated fatty acids. 

Clinical Study #3 - This was a 12 week study where every health indicator (cholesterol, triglycerides, lipids, etc.) trended in the right directions. 

Cardarine Cutting And Bulking Cycles

Cutting And Recomposition Cycles

Week 1-12: Cardarine 20 mg/day.

Week 1-12: Ostarine 20 mg/day. Arimacare Pro (on cycle therapy) spread out through the day.

Week 13-16: 25 mg/day of nolvadex and 20 mg/day of clomid

Bulking Cycles

Do I Need Post Cycle Therapy For Cardarine?

No. Simply put. 

Cardarine does not affect your endocrine system at all. So you do not need any post cycle therapy.

In fact, cardarine is great to use for post cycle therapy stack after a SARM cycle. 

Cardarine will help you get you cholesterol and lipid profile back in check. 

However, after 16 week mark, you start to notice diminishing returns to the drug. This is because your body has adjusted to the cardarine. 

All you need to do is cycle off for the same amount time you were on it. 

So if you did a twelve week cycle of cardarine. You should take 12 weeks off. At the very least, take about 6 weeks off.
